During my college days, I frequently visited Le Singe Vert (The Green Monkey), a small French bistro in Chelsea. I love their fresh sandwiches, yet always wondered why they didn’t have any breakfast items, considering they already make a 3-egg omelette for lunch. Fortunately they have started serving breakfast, featuring eggs benedict (my personal fave), brioche, french toast, waffles, pain au chocolat, and of course the 3-egg omelet with your preferred fillings. The Viennoiseries like brioche, pain au chocolat and croissants are all freshly made by Ceci Cela’s new baking facility in Brooklyn as well.
All items are a la carte, but they also offer a prix-fixe breakfast with your choice of egg dish (benedict, florentine or omelet) plus juice and coffee for $12.50. And for all you meat and cheese lovers, their charcuterie plates are available for breakfast too. And why not? After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Served Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM-11:30 AM
