Limelight Marketplace Opens Today!

I remember this place when it was glowsticks and raves; now it's cupcakes and clothing.  The long awaited Limelight Marketplace is opening today, and the three-story, former church/nightclub (bet you don't hear that term too often) will house food shops (Cupcake Stop and Brooklyn's famous Grimaldi's pizza among them), retail stores (Sabon, Hunter Boots), and even a salon (J. Sisters). Over 80 shops are built into the 25,000 square foot space, and I, for one, am excited. Who doesn't want to start making malls in Manhattan?! Nah, I'm fine with it. I love Chelsea Market, so if this is anything like that, I'll allow it.

  1. I read all about this. If you go soon let me know how it is, I’ll probably be stopping by in a few weeks. Will you be trying Grimaldi’s there? Apparently they have an outpost that will be doing window service after the shoppes close at 9pm….
