Grand Central Terminal Dining Week

GCT-DiningWeekAD2010

If you're one of the lucky few who gets to push and shove their way through the massive yet ornate hub that is Grand Central Station, this might be of interest to you.

I have just learned of something called Grand Central Terminal Dining Week, where busy New Yorkers and confused tourists can take advantage of food and beverage deals from select retailers in the concourse. Launching on August 20 and ending on August 29th, the first annual Grand Central Terminal Dining Week will feature prix-fixe menus, to-go meal options, and various discounts on plenty of your favorites. Take Magnolia Bakery, for example; to fuel your day, they will be offering a 10% discount on any coffee/muffin combo. Their coffee is organic and roasted fresh daily, and their muffins are seasonal, like Peach Crumb.

The fine-dining establishment Metrazur, along with the more casual Zocalo, will be offering $20.10 prix fixe menus similar to Restaurant Week, Michael Jordan's The Steakhouse will be doing a beer and burger special, Two Boots Pizza is offering a 10% discount off of their in-house menu, and Ciao Bella Gelato is going to have various discounts on iced coffee and other sweet treats. The entire dining concourse will be offering value-driven to-go meals as well, including Dishes, Cafe Spice, Mendy's Kosher Deli, Junior's Cheesecake, Eata Pita, Hale & Hearty, and more. There will also be discounts in the Grand Central Market including Murray's Cheese, Pescatore Seafood, Corrado Breads, Wild Edibles, and Zaro's.
