Did I call it or did I call it?! Some of you may recall my previous post on Four Loko, where I (gasp) defended it to some degree. The backlash on that one was not fun, but I stand by it. Alcohol is alcohol. If you abuse it (underage or not) chances are the results aren't going to be good. Just because beer isn't packaged in neon colored cans doesn't make it any less dangerous. Anyway. So Four Loko is back, and like I predicted, they removed the caffeine, taurine and guarana to meet FDA guidelines. Womp womp womp. I'm pretty sure that's part of what makes you feel so fantastic inside, but whatever – and they are still calling it "blackout in a can" soooo….I'm pretty sure kids will be chasing the stuff with Red Bulls in no time. In fact according to the Daily News, one deli on 34th street in Kips Bay used that as a marketing ploy: stacking cans of Four Loko next to a stack of Red Bulls.
