#STORIES: Angry Orchard Tour and Private Concert

If I haven’t made this abundantly clear yet, I love Fall. It’s my favorite season. Not because of pumpkin spice, but because of the holidays surrounding it, the food that comes from it, and the crisp in the air that just can’t be beat.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my first day of Fall in upstate NY with Angry Orchard. I got a private tour of the 60-acre orchard and cider house by cider master Ryan Burk, followed by a 7-course tasting menu and dinner prepared by Top Chef alum James Rigato. Oh, and a private treehouse concert with Dirty Heads. Casual.

I know it sounds like I’m bragging but…that’s because I am. I had hummus for dinner the night before. Let me have this. I’ve been going through some rough times lately, and if I’m being totally honest, this was one of the VERY few experiences that lifted my spirits. The life of a food blogger is not as glamorous as it seems, I promise you. So, occasionally, we get to bask in the warm sun, pick an apple off of an actual apple tree, and indulge in a few perks.

The best part? You don’t have to be a struggling food blogger to do it! You can 100% take a tour and check out the concerts as well. Here’s the events calendar. Do yourself a favor and go before it gets cold – it’s the perfect Fall day trip. There are food trucks every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so you don’t have to worry about going hungry either. Below is my video from my Instagram stories – I saved it just so you can see what the whole day looked like, from beginning to end.

FUN FACT: The Hudson Valley is known as the “Apple Belt” of New York and is the second largest producing apple state in the country. Did you know that? Me neither until this tour.

Always the worst, ugh. Went through one back in June and July myself. :-/ Sending you good vibes, girl!
