I hate Mondays. Almost more than I hate tourists. But you know what's a good way to get over any fear? Face it head on. Case and point: Monday night pizza and beer special in Little Italy. That's right – beat those Monday blues with beer and pizza consumption followed by some lighthearted tourist-shoving. On any Monday night starting October 19th at Emporio, you'll receive two beers on tap and one large brick-oven pizza from the menu – all for $22.50. Toppings range from buffalo mozzarella, Prosciutto di Parma, gorgonzola, San Marzano tomatoes, broccoli rabe, and spicy sopressata. The rustic Italian joint in Little Italy is known for their late-night Spuntino menu and custom-made glass atrium that gives diners an outdoor feel, no matter what New York weather throws at them. I would try it out – anything to make Mondays a little brighter. And if I can't find a friend to go with, I'll just grab a random tourist off the street. They've got to be good for SOMETHING.
