Tiger’s Blood Cocktails

Yup it's happened. The Charlie Sheen epidemic is spreading to your cuisine. Moroccan restaurant Fifty Five in midtown says they will be serving a "Tiger's Blood cocktail with a dash of Adonis DNA." What in the hell? It's actually just a SUPER spicy Bloody Mary made with wasabi and harissa. At the Ninth Ward, they have the "Charlie Sheen" on their menu which consists of two and a half parts coca-cola and Catdaddy Carolina Moonshine (has a caramel-like taste) with of course, a powdered sugar rim around the glass. Hmm wonder what they're trying to say. If I had to create a Charlie Sheen cocktail, I think it would be 2 parts tequila, 1 part coke, a dash of hot sauce and a jigger of straight Charlie Sheen. However, if you don't have any Charlie Sheen on hand I suppose you can take the recipes from Fifty Five and the Ninth Ward..

The Charlie Sheen, from the Ninth Ward

4 ounces Coca-Cola
2.5 ounces of Catdaddy Carolina Moonshine
Ice
Powdered Sugar Rim
1 Maraschino cherry, for garnish

Tiger's Blood with a Dash of DNA from Fifty Five

Dash of Bragg Liquid Aminos
1/4 teaspoon harissa
1/4 red horseradish sauce
1/4 teaspoon wasabi powder
1/4 teaspoon Ras El Hanout
Dash of Glenmorangie Sherry
fresh grated ginger
dash of olive juice
dash of balsamic
2 ounces vodka
Pinch celery salt
7 drops Worcestershire
6 ounces tomato juice
lime juice
lemon juice
salt & pepper

Combine all of the ingredients in a highball glass with ice, stir well, splash another dash of Aminos, garnish with lime and serve.
