I wasn't sure if this had to do with wine or salsa, but fortunately it's wine – just in time for Thirsty Thursdays! The week of June 20-June 27 is the 2nd annual Vinho Verde week, which means some of our fair (and favorite) NYC restaurants will be celebrating the occasion with pairing menus and by-the-glass selections. Even retailers are getting in on it – Chelsea Wine Vault, Best Cellars, and Union Square Wines (among others) will be hosting in-store tastings. Yay. Vinho Verde is a young Portuguese wine from the Minho region that means "green wine", which references it's slight green tint.
