Ilili: Was just here last week for lunch and it was really good (service was not though). I had falafel, hummus, and a few bites of this lamb dip sandwich that was glorious (think French Dip but with lamb instead of roast beef). RW menu here
Chinatown Brasserie: Kind of an oldie, but I've been here for RW twice and I always enjoyed it. RW menu here
Lupa: Mario Batali's place in the West Vill always satisfies my carb cravings with their delicious pastas. RW menu here
Red Rooster in Harlem is offering their inaugural Chicken and Champagne night today from 6 -10:30 pm. Champagne by the glass is $10, Champagne cocktails are $12, and small bites like fried chicken and waffles, deviled eggs and curried chitlins make an appearance for $4 each. Landmarc in Tribeca is offering a special prix fixe summer wine dinner on Tues, July 19th entitled "Pink is the New White" and will feature a selection of rose's along with a four course dinner for $85 per ticket. The menu includes sweet Maine shrimp tartare, sliced duck breast with wild rice, and mediterranean seafood salad with gigante beans and basil oil. Cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres at 6:30 pm, sit down dinner at 7 pm. Call 212-343-3883.
Guac Rock is tonight! I posted about this last week and frankly I don't feel like repeating myself. So here's the link to the original post. It's a party on a boat with lots of guac and free tequila from 8-9 pm. Admission is $25. Need I say more?
