Giveaway: Tix to Cool Cravings or Cupcake Cakewalk

Cupcake1

Here's hoping that Hurricane Irene doesn't pay us a visit until late Sunday or Monday, because then you can enjoy what's left of the summer this weekend at OpenHouse Gallery's two "cool" events, Cool Cravings and the Cupcake Cakewalk. I happen to have two tickets to each event and I am ready to give them to YOU, lucky readers. Just email me with the event name in the subject line (either Cool Cravings or Cupcake Cakewalk, whichever you prefer to go to) and I will pick the 5th email I receive for each one as the winner. Sound good? Almost as good as the lineups..

Cool Cravings (Sat 8/27) is brought to you by OpenHouse Gallery and the lovable health-nuts over at Clean Plates, bringing together eight NYC and LI-based dessert artisans who use only all natural ingredients and no additives. Vendors include Brewla Bars, La Cremeria, Raw Ice Cream Co., The Shaved Ice Shop, The Juice Press, Soft Serve Fruit Co., NibMor, Stogo, SkyIce, Vita Coco, and Hint water. Try SkyIce's dragonfruit and watermelon sorbet, or Brewla Bars' cherry pomegranate and red tea ice pops. Email me at skinnypignyc@yahoo.com with "Cool Cravings" in the subject line and if you're the fifth emailer, you win!

The Cupcake Cakewalk (Sun 8/28) is more than just a walk with cupcakes – it's a competition! A battle of the batters. The fight for fondant. You get the idea…or I can come up with more useless puns. Bakeries and cupcakeries around NYC will be competing for Best Cupcake in NYC – quite a hefty title – and YOU get to help decide who wins! The contestants include Alice's Tea Cup, Billy's Bakery, ChikaLicious, Duane Park Patisserie, Robicelli's, and Sun in Bloom. Email me at skinnypignyc@yahoo.com with "Cupcake Cakewalk" in the subject line and if you're the fifth emailer, you win!

So simple. And SO COOL.

Send away!

And PS – if you don't win and still want to go, click here for tickets exclusively on Gilt City.

Cool Cravings – $25, Cupcake Cakewalk – $20.

  1. That is well known that money makes us independent. But what to do when somebody doesn’t have cash? The one way is to try to get the credit loans or just collateral loan.

  2. Walter Ng is due in bankruptcy court tomorrow afternoon, and many of the investors are mobilizing to attend the hearing. I’ll be there as well and report back to you.
