I think my stomach is still readjusting to food in the US, so I haven't been eating out as much as I'd like these past few days. As I sit here feasting on water and crackers, I will torture myself (and yourself) by posting some pics of the many greek salads and phyllo-encrusted delicacies I had while I was in Greece…sigh…
Greek bruschetta! I want to try to recreate this one – tomato jam with the freshest feta ever and oregano..
Mini tyropitas aka cheese pies (that phyllo was homemade btw..)
Melitzanosalata aka eggplant, tomato and pepper dip..one of my faves and this one was awesome
Greek Salad #2…I loved the capers in this one
Mmmm gyro platter with tzatziki…I rolled home after eating only HALF of that..
SPANAKOPITA aka spinach pie – my all time favorite. I used to eat these after dance class every weekend when I lived in Astoria…ahh so nutritional…
Saganaki aka fried cheese. Thats all. Also nutritious.
Crepe with nutella and bananas. Nutella = my kryptonite.
Now I'm hungry. Time for more crackers.
Me and this aitrcle, sitting in a tree, L-E-A-R-N-I-N-G!
