It’s that time of year again: time to praise the lords of wonder who created mac and cheese! I definitely do this more than once a year, but thats understandable because mac and cheese is delicious.
The Mac Daddy is a mac and cheese showdown, and is the brother of The Big Cheesy, the grilled cheese competition. Time Out NY brings both of these wonders to us every year at the Openhouse Gallery in Soho, where lots of your favorite purveyors will be in attendance and competing for your tastebuds’ approval. Last year was a triumph and I can’t wait to experience it again. The ticket includes tastings from six Time Out NY curated purveyors and two beer tickets from the kind folks at Goose Island. Music to my ears and stomach. See pic below from my excursion last year…so much yum.
Funnily enough, I will be competing in a mac and cheese competition myself in Brooklyn on April 12th (more on that later). So to prime my palate and perhaps also drive some inspiration, I will be attending The Mac Daddy and you should too! Click here for tickets, $30 each.
