Brunch at: Randolph Beer

This place is great for people who cannot make up their minds about what they want out of brunch. Beer hall? Funky retro bar? Avocado toast?! How about all of the above?! It’s great. They even have a beer wall aka a bunch of beers on tap. You pay at the bar, get this handy dandy little card that looks like a credit card, then serve yourself.

You can sit in the back booths amongst the graffiti, neon hearts, and 80’s tech paraphernalia, or you can sit up front at the communal, beer garden-style tables. Either way, this place is fun and I really thought the food was solid. Not a place I would expect to enjoy shrimp and grits, but I really did. Read on for more and add it to your list of brunch spots in Brooklyn.

  1. Breakfast Nachos: I’d like to think this is pretty self explanatory – it’s basically nachos with a fried egg on top. I’m really into this trend making things “brunch”. I’m going to take a fried egg and put it on my left boob and call it Breakfast Boob. It will be WILDLY popular, I’m sure.
  2. Shrimp & Grits: Again, I didn’t think I’d like this as much as I did. The shrimp were seasoned perfectly and had a nice kick. I loved the bits of shishito peppers on top too! Nice touch and adds some color, which I hear is essential for a healthy diet…
  3. Fried Chicken Sandwich: What a monster. Nice crispy skin, juicy on the inside, and topped with slaw. Paired with waffle fries and a beer? I will allow it.
  4. Avocado Toast: I wouldn’t think something from a bar that has graffiti on the walls would make an avo toast this pretty. And it tastes good to boot. I loved the bread.

And here’s a few more shots from the inside – love this place.
