If you are a vegan or vegetarian, I advise you to look away. Or you might reconsider your beliefs upon viewing. I don’t know, I’m not going to tell you how to live.
I love a good prime rib, and few people do it right. Josh Capon happens to be one of those people. He’s also the man behind Bowery Meat Company, with the insane burger and duck lasagna for two. Or if you’re me, the duck lasagna for one.
If you need a place to give in to your carnivorous tooth, I suggest a stop over at Burger & Barrel. It’s casual and inviting, with much better food than you’d expect. Don’t forget that looks can be deceiving.
The 8-hour, slow-cooked prime rib dinner is available for $75 per person, 4 courses, reservation required. And might I mention BEYOND worth it. So tender, served with horseradish cream, grilled onion and a twice baked potato. Amazing. Wine pairing is available as well, just ask the sommelier. They don’t call it burger & “barrel” for nothing.
Note: The prime rib is also available a la carte for $42, just in case you feel like being a savage on your own (aka my every day).
