Time Out Market New York in Dumbo Opens Today

After much anticipation, the Time Out Market in Dumbo has opened!

The 21,000 square foot space is lined with buzzy restaurant vendors, a rooftop with immaculate views of the Brooklyn Bridge, and three bars for your imbibing pleasure.

CEO Didier Souillat told Food & Wine in a statement:

“Our Time Out editors have carefully selected the city’s most outstanding chefs, mixologists and local talent and now we bring this curated mix together in one unique space…Imagine a place where you get a true taste of the city: you can choose from culinary masterpieces, Tonkotsu ramen, pizza, Middle Eastern cuisine, vegan fare, juicy burgers, Kosher deli, tacos, chocolate babka and more.”

I got a chance to visit a couple days before opening (because it’s one of the few perks you get as a food blogger in lieu of making any money), and I got a few pics of everything before the rain started coming down. See below for all of that.

In the meantime, here is the full list of vendors, alphabetically, and my personal favorites are marked with an asterisk*

Alta Calidad – innovative Mexican, winner of the Michelin Bib Gourmand award

Avocaderia – I’ll give you one guess as to what they specialize in (hint: it’s an “avocado bar”)

Bessou – trendy Japanese spot

Bklyn Wild – Farm to table, healthy and delicious

Breads Bakery* (their chocolate babka is a life-changer)

Breads Bagelry – from Breads Bakery above, but with loopy, Jerusalem bagels (loopy is not an insult, in this case).

Center Cut – coming to you from Kosher steakhouse, Reserve Cut

Clinton St. Baking Co.* – you know them for their brunch that’s impossible to get into. Good news, they’re here! And they had a delightful cheesecake!

David Burke Tavern – American fare with a twist. They have bacon on a clothesline and that’s all you need to know.

– cookie dough you can eat without risking that pesky salmonella

Felice Pasta Bar – pretty self explanatory, brought to you by the Felice group of restaurants

Fish Cheeks – authentic Thai comfort food

Ice & Vice – it’s not regular ice cream it’s cool ice cream.

Ivy Stark – named after the chef herself, Ivy brings new Mexican cuisine

Jacob’s Pickles* – not for the faint of stomach. Biscuits and some of the best mac and cheese you’ll ever have.

Juliana’s* – coal-fired pizza, perfectly chewy and crispy

Little Ada – Israeli & Mediterranean cuisine, brought to you by Miss Ada

Loco Coco – vegan smoothie bowls

Mr. Taka – Michelin guide top 20 ramen shops in Tokyo

Nur* – modern Middle Eastern cuisine

Pat LaFrieda* – the king of meat brings burgers and steak sandwiches. Don’t sleep on the cheesesteak.
