Due to the holiday craziness, I haven’t had much time to be Skinny Pigging around town, but I DID house a Beast on a hero from Cherry Valley and wings from Press 195. Queens’ finest grub! I also have a few places I’m hitting up in the city this week before New Years so stay tuned for that. And speaking of, I am super excited for New Years Eve this year…which is rare. In fact, guess where it is being held? Rare View rooftop in Chelsea. Zing! Get it?!
It’s the truth though – everyone I know despises NYE because it’s expensive, hard to plan, hard to get a cab, and usually fails to live up to everyone’s grand expectations. This year, I decided to take the reigns and book us some space at Rare; for $95 per person you get open bar from 9 pm – 1 am, passed hors d’oeuvres, champagne toast, party favors, etc. We also got a table because we are a large group – not too shabby! The space is gorgeous, location is convenient, and who doesn’t love a retractable roof to keep us warm while we mingle under the stars?
