This Sunday, we celebrate Mom. And what better way to celebrate Mom than with an appropriate mid-day feeding? She fed you for many years when you didn’t have the motor skills to do so yourself, so why not return the favor? That said, don’t LITERALLY feed your Mom on Sunday. That will just be weird for everyone.
So anyway, here’s a list of some of my favorite places for the occasion – they’re a combination of great brunch and nice ambiance. No boozy brunches and dancing on tables here, but hey if you and your mom want to do that, go for it. I’m not here to judge.
PS the phone links are links to the Google Search for the restaurant. You’re welcome.
Mother's Day Brunch Guide
- Nerai – Mother’s Day Prix Fixe
Treat your mom to an authentic yet elevated Greek brunch this Sunday at Nerai. They are offering a $79 prix fixe and the interior is beautiful. If the weather is nice, you could definitely sit outside as well (the Spring pea ravioli up top is from their Mother’s Day menu)!

- Flex Mussels Brunch
This place has amazing lobster rolls on a toasted bun, citrus aioli, celery, and flex fries. Make sure to get their savory donuts for dessert to make your mom more than happy.

A three course meal is available for $45, great deal! This place is just gorgeous inside. It’s so cute and perfect for a mother daughter brunch.

- Kellari Taverna
If your mom enjoys some seafood for brunch, take her to Kellari Taverna! Also the prefix includes one complimentary brunch cocktail which will make your mom super happy.

Enjoy a mothers day prefix at Aureole which an American restaurant right by Bryant Park. They have a wonderful tasting menu!

If you like to spoil Mom with pizza and wine, this is the place to take her. Amazing food and bonus: lots of al fresco dining options if it happens to be nice weather.

- Fig & Olive – Fifth Ave
For a prix fixe of $42, indulge in a 3-course brunch! Try the caviar & smoked salmon poached eggs, and finish things off with the chocolate pot de creme for dessert.
10 E 52nd St, New York, NY 10022
- Crave Fishbar UWS
This is a great spot for brunch with Mom as well as the entire family. There’s avocado toast (is there ever NOT avocado toast?), fish tacos, cavatelli with lobster, and plenty of options for kids. $40 pp, 11 am – 3 pm.
428 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10024
- Del Friscos Grille
Steak, tuna tartare, sparkling rose, and coconut cream pie. Sounds like an ideal Mother’s Day to me. Or maybe that’s just my Mom? Carnivorous types will love this spot.
50 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY 10020
- Empellon Midtown
One of my favorite places for tacos (Empellon Al Pastor) has an upscale sister restaurant, and it’s here. For $48 pp, you can feast on short rib confit with picadillo garnish and gnocchi with morels and black truffles. Drool city.
510 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10022
I have had a crush on Cookshop for a very long time. It’s consistent and pretty much always packed (so if there are reservations left, scoop one up NOW). Try the deviled eggs and the poached eggs cilbir: pressed yogurt, smoked chili oil, sweet potato hummus and toast.
156 10th Ave, New York, NY 10011
- Quality Eats Nomad
If Mom likes a lot of eggs and a little modern approach to brunch, you might want to take her to the latest outpost of Quality Eats. The Quality Monkey Bread is perfect to share, and they have so many drool-worthy egg options it makes it hard to choose.

I love the interior of this place and it’s a perfect setting for brunch. Raynard has one of the best burgers and awesome dutch pancakes.

One of the best brunch places in Brooklyn with delicious breakfast sandwiches. The fried chicken sandwich is a must and they also have a great selection for dessert – ask if they have the lemon poppy donuts!
