I don’t know about you, but I’ve never really been a big fan of this “holiday”.
Yes, it’s nice when you have someone to be able to celebrate, but even when I was coupled up, I didn’t really look forward to it. I always felt like I was forcing myself to be romantic and girly and I’m really neither of those things by default. I’m supposed to want things like flowers, chocolate, and jewelry and I’m just like…give me steak and some booze and I’ll be happy. Not much different from any other day.
To be fair, I’ll take the chocolate though. Because I loves me some chocolate. And chocolate covered strawberries are just an absolute treasure.
That said, now that I’m single, I thought I’d round up some spots that don’t pressure you to bring an actual date. Because that’s how I like to live. No pressure. No judgment.
