Lunch at: The Osprey

Beauty is in the eye of the sandwich holder.

That’s not right? Oh. Well it should be.

If I’m being completely honest with you, the decor and ambiance of a restaurant are usually not the reasons I go. I’m a “taste first, see later” type of person. BUT, occasionally, I’m so taken aback by the beauty of a restaurant’s interior that I have to stop and appreciate it. The Osprey in the 1 Hotel BK Bridge is one of those places. See below for photographic evidence.

The chef, Michael Oliver, hails from Locanda Verde and Lafayette, so you’re bound to get beauty on a plate too. Even the chicken salad sandwich was pretty. I didn’t even think that was possible until I came here. Could be due to the rotisserie they have on site to make that delicious roast chicken, but if red meat is more your thing, don’t sleep on the burger. Ohhh so juicy and tangy thanks to those malt vinegar onions.

The 1 Hotel is also one of my favorite properties – rustic and earthy, with succulent walls and this other-worldly scent that makes you feel like you’re in a spa. They actually make a candle with this scent and it’s $48. Worth it. Completely, 100% worth it.

I beg of you to check out The Osprey and then head up to the BK Heights Social Club after. But more to come on that…

  1. The interior of this place is GORG. And that chicken salad sandwich looks AMAZING. Def better than the ones from my employer’s cafeterias. Ha!
